On the way to a camping trip in Florida (post forthcoming), we stopped at the Battleship Alabama in Mobile. I highly recommend it if you're at all interested in military history. The self-guided tours on the battleship are thorough and informative, and on top of that there's a diesel submarine and a hangar full of aircraft to explore.
