Recent Developments

Notwithstanding the title of the blog, times are very, very good right now. On the broader scale, I am happily engaged to the love of my life, and we are ludicrously happy. On the shorter time scale, yesterday my fiancée and I took a long walk through a mild January afternoon to the fancy wig store to finish up our costumes for marching in Krewe du Vieux on Saturday. Allow me to unpack that sentence: (1) I have a fiancée!!!, (2) the weather is splendid at the moment, (3) we live in a city that supports multiple year-round wig stores, and (4) Mardi gras is kicking off. Thus, times are excellent. I will endeavor to resume documenting said good times at this blog; interested parties may also review the pictures at my account on the Instagram, which are mainly shots of Atlas the cat and Roxie the dog but will soon have more in the way of parades and festivities.
