Merry Happy to all!

Happy holidays, everyone.
It's been a lovely couple of days in New Orleans. Two days in a row of crystalline winter weather, sunny and perfect for walking. Yesterday, caught up with an old co-worker over lunch at Cochon Butcher. I'm not the biggest muffuletta fan, but darn if it wasn't amazing. Last night, celebrated a friend's birthday and the continued existence of the world at a pretty good bar that I'd never been to (although it had an unnecessary DJ). Today, puttered around and ran last-minute Christmas errands, wrapped gifts, and packed for a trip out west to be with family over the holiday. Dinner at Midway Pizza (hefty), dessert at the Creole Creamery (four-scoop sampler of peppermint, peppermint bark, cream cheese gingerbread, and Christmas Morning, all delicious). Then a trip to Celebration in the Oaks at City Park. Festive lights and a bitchin' model train garden.
Merry Happy to all!
