Celebrating the holidays in the Crescent City.

This is Christmas caroling in Jackson Square. Nothing like drinking some mulled wine with friends, then going out in the sixty-five-degree evening to sing Christmas carols, and then drinking a little bit more. Some of the carols had lines about young children going up to heaven that spoiled the mood slightly, but other than that it was delightful.

Also, on Friday a friend hosted a sweet Christmas party. There was a Netflix yule log on the tv, libations galore (including my new vice, cajun egg nog daiquiris), a magnificent spread of festive snacks, and the greatest Christmas movie ever, Die Hard on a big screen in the back yard. Ho ho ho.
