So the bags (backpack and fanny pack) are packed, maps for the first few stops are printed, and electronic devices are charged. The bills are paid for the coming month and I have prepared a bug-out bag of irreplaceable stuff that my roommate has offered to take with him if the city evacuates while I'm gone (knock on wood). Can't really think of anything else, so I think I'm good to go. I will be on the 9:25 Greyhound Bus to Atlanta. Doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
Also, it looks like my early route will involve dangerously hot temperatures and massive power outages. Adventure!
I think you should spend the first leg of your trip trying to come up with a better, manlier name for the fanny pack.
